Are You Praying with us on This Walk?

This has been a tough week all around for us. We feel as if we are fighting evil daily, the closer we get to our baby. We have spent more time on our knees praying this week than we have lately. This is right where the Lord needs us too. We will continue to press forward.

The thought came to me last night to ask you all if you are praying, to tell us where you are praying from. It would so encourage us to know that you all are praying for us, but how fascinating it would be to see where all prayers came from for our baby’s adoption! I thought I’d make a list for him and put it in his baby book to share with him that people all over the country were praying for him before he joined our family. So, after this post, would you mind taking a moment and commenting as to where you are praying from? The state? Or town and state?

No news with baby or expectant mom. We are hoping to see her again in a week or so. The drive up to see her is over an hour, so, it’s not that easy to plan the visits during the week. We are down to less than 6 weeks before our baby will be here! Do you realize how little time that is??? I went into a panic the other night when I finally realized how close we are to holding our little one in our arms. I began to think of all the fundraising we are in the midst of, the projects that need to be done around here before winter, the organizing of things in the house in prep. for the arrival of our baby, etc. It was a bit much to realize just as I was preparing to go to bed! Let’s just say, since then I have not slept well! I know I should not worry, but sadly I do. Steve and I are both guilty of this, but me more than him. Some days I have no worries, but other days my flesh worries.

A surprise package arrived yesterday for our little guy! Our dear friend, Jean, sent him an adorable moose sleeper, buck shirt and pants, bib, and a toy truck. πŸ™‚ Thank you Jean for giving us a moment to pause in our day and think about the wonderous little guy that will soon be in these clothes and playing with his truck.

We received a surprise package of outfits and bottles from my dear sister-in-law, Christy, last week. So thankful for your prayers and support Christy! The outfits are adorable, especially now that the store took the sensors off of them. πŸ™‚ I know you have to be laughing about that right now. It was exciting to receive a newborn sleeper, knowing that most likely this guy will be tiny and will fit this size! All of our other children were big (7.11 up to 9.15lbs), so, we are having to adjust our thinking.

Thank you to all of you who are praying for our baby, expectant mom, and our family. You do not know how much we appreciate these prayers.
